Mack Sennett was and still is affectionately known as The King of Comedy, responsible for innovating and perfecting silent film standard practices such as pies to the face and wild car chases. He was an actor, director, writer and producer, and created the famous Keystone Cops. He had a long and infamous romantic relationship with one of his biggest stars, Mabel Normand.
