"For me, the glamour is that excitement that comes when you see someone do something extraordinary on the screen. That's what makes Hollywood unforgettable." ~ Natalie Wood

Natalie Wood

Portrait by Roddy McDowall, 1963

Westwood Village Memorial Park ~ Westwood, CA

Natalie Wood was, to me and many others, the definition of a movie star - even when she did television and RainTree commercials. Two of her films, Rebel Without A Cause and West Side Story, are two of my all-time favorites. She grew up in front of the cameras, married another movie star (RJ Wagner, twice!) and loved being a mom. She aged gracefully until it all came to a tragic end when she drowned off Catalina Island. I've visited her grave many times, each time finding tokens of affection from family and friends.
