Found at LA Pet Cemetery with Scott & Steve | 2004

Beneath Los Angeles (Steve Goldstein)
Steve's witty, entertaining site features oodles of intriguing photography of headstones and for newsmakers and civilians alike, complete with humorous captions from his forthcoming book, "Beneath Los Angeles: Southern California's Graves of the Famous, the Infamous, and the Just Plain Dead." Extras include grave-grams, a newsletter and the opportunity to vote for your favorite images.

Celebrity Death Certificates (Mike Steen)
"Mortician to the Stars" Mike Steen has worked in the funeral service industry for 40 years, and has parlayed his hobby of collecting death certificates of famous people into not one but two successful volumes of "Celebrity Death Certificates" for McFarland Publishers. Congratulations, Mike!

Find-A-Death (Scott Michaels)
Scott provides what is arguably the most tongue-in-bitchiest-cheek commentary on celebrity death and destruction that you'll find anywhere on the internet or beyond, LOL! He also champions the touching tales of people who have passed on that other writers tend to pass by. Compelling reading, great photos and...My Mom Approved! Scott also owns and operates the popular Dearly Departed Tours in Hollywood.

Find-A-Grave (Jim Tipton)
Jim's one-time hobby home page has now grown into an enormously successful and popular searchable database of over 10 million celebrity and civilian burial records; an invaluable tool for gravehunters and genealogists alike. You can also leave cyber-flowers and virtual tributes to the dearly departed here as well. Unlike other genealogy sites, Jim's resource remains free to everyone. Thanks, Jim!

Graves-R-Us (Kimberly Eazell)
Kimberly, a funeral and mortuary administrative professional, is The Queen of the O.C. when it comes to gravehunting. She's taken thousands of grave photos over the years and has now fulfilled her dream of putting them on the web. Her pages uniquely focus on Orange, San Diego, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties in California. Kimberly also runs the Graves-R-Us Yahoo! chat group.

Hollywood Remains To Be Seen (Mark Masek)
Mark's website for his book about the final resting places of Hollywood's elite includes additional tales of attending celebrity memorials, additional photos and biographies of celebrities who have recently passed and his annual "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" Dead Pool competition. Rumor has it that Mark's working on a revised edition of his informative guidebook. YAY!

Hollywood Underground (Karen McHale)
The website that started it all for many of us! Karen's detailed and well-researched page dedicated to the burial sites of Hollywood's most famous stars, moguls and eccentrics is a wealth of information about where all the really interesting bodies are buried, how to find them and in some cases who put them there. Karen provides printable lists and grave locations for over a dozen Los Angeles area cemeteries, a concise and helpful hunting tool.
