THE HUNT FOR HARLOW

Long-time Jean Harlow fan and friend of The Platinum Page, writer Jim Kaufmann, chronicles his initial introduction to lovely Jean and his ensuing adventures in researching her true life story in the wonderfully nostalgic "The Hunt For Harlow," originally published by Vox Pop Influentials, a central California magazine, in May 2006.

No doubt, all Harlow fans will relate to his youthful curiosity and be inspired by his persistence, which garnered some impressive results. The Platinum Page is delighted and honored to be able to present this charming memoir courtesy of Jim (writing under the pen name Nick Kenney, an homage to two family surnames) and the publishers of VPI - many thanks, gentlemen!

The article has been scanned directly from the magazine and features rare images of Jean in all her platinum glory. The images, six pages in all, are rather large so please allow adequate download time; they will load to a separate window for optimal viewing.
